Holbrook’s track team competed at the 20-team Sedona Red Rock Invitational held last Saturday, and although team scores were not kept, the Roadrunners did have many athletes do well in the varsity divisions of the meet.
In the boys’ 100 meter dash, Jeffrey Jones was 12th with a time of 12.11; Dell Parker, 17th; and Andrew Dawson, 21st.
In the 200 meter dash, Andrew Dawson placed 10th with a time of 24.74.
In the 400 meter dash, Andrew Dawson finished 13th with a time of 56.35.
In the 800 meter run, Cody Keyonnie finished 29th with a time of 3:19.11.
In the 1600 meter run, Cody Keyonnie placed 19th with a time of 7:41.64.
The quartet of Myron Begay, Dell Parker, Andrew Dawson and Jeffrey Jones placed ninth in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 48.48.
In the shot put, Zakhari Waits finished third with a distance of 42-10.5; James Spencer, 20th; and Joshua Meeks, 21st.
In the discus, Joshua Meeks placed 20th with a throw of 87-02; James Spencer, 28th; and Colton Christensen, 38th.
In the girls’ varsity competition, Brook Sagnitso placed 29th in the shot put with a distance of 18-10.25 and 33rd in the discus with a throw of 51-09.
In the freshman/sophomore portion of the meet, Kiah Demuth placed sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:45.94; seventh in the 1600 meter run with a time of 6:10.44; and sixth in the 3200 meter run with a time of 13:59.
In the boys’ 100 meter dash of the freshman/sophomore competition, Myron Begay was 24th with a time of 12.99 and Tyson Begay placed 34th.
In the 200 meter dash, Tyson Begay placed 37th with a time of 29.08 and Deon Brown was 39th.
In the 400 meter run, Deon Brown finished 32nd with a time of 1:04.
In the 1600 meter run, Hayden Mike placed 16th with a time of 5:53.
In the 3200 meter run, Hayden Mike placed 16th with a time of 13:10.97.
In the shot put, Wallace Joe was 29th with a distance of 21-08.
In the discus, Wallace Joe placed 12th with 79-06.
In the long jump, Jeffrey Jones placed second with a jump of 19-04.75; Myron Begay, 10th; and Dell Parker, 15th.
In the triple jump, Jeffrey Jones placed first with a distance of 41-03.5.
