The Lady Wildcats opened their regular softball season by sweeping both games of a double header at Ash Fork on Friday.

Joseph City took the first game 12-2, then completely controlled the second game with a 22-1 final outcome. On Saturday they suffered their first regular season setback of the campaign losing in Holbrook to the Lady Roadrunners 5-14.

Joseph City will host their own tournament this weekend, then will be off until next Thursday when they play in the Gracie Lee Haught Invitational held in Payson.
