I was raised in a family owned and operated commercial cow/calf beef producing company. I have work experience that includes county government as well as having worked in or partnered in various private business operations of construction, entertainment, retail, industrial production and transportation. My education includes an Associate’s degree from Northland Pioneer College, a Bachelors’ degree in business from Northern Arizona University and a Graduate’s degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. I am a member of the Southern Baptist Church, Navajo County Hashknife Sheriff’s Posse, Arizona Farm Bureau and I am a life member of the National Riffle Association. My public service includes the Holbrook City Council, Northern Arizona Council of Governments, Rural Transportation Advisory Council and Navajo County Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Board. My philosophy of city government is a government of the people, by the people and for the people with the purpose of public safety. In its simplest form, it would include primarily police and fire protection and in some cases magisterial services. Other services may be added such as the provision of utility services, road maintenance, flood control structures, recreation facilities and events, libraries, economic development activities, zoning, public works of art or any other activity or structure that provides a benefit to the public and enriches the life and living of the community, and to manage these facilities and services in a fiscally responsible manner with an emphasis on the best service possible within the community’s resource availability.
