The Snowflake Lobos will need to avenge two prior losses this week if they want a chance to host a first round state playoff game in a couple of weeks. With a trip to Show Low on Tuesday followed by a home tilt against Blue Ridge on Friday to close out the regular season, the Lobos will most likely need to win both outings.

Snowflake struggled early this season, but last week put together its first regular season three-game winning streak of the season, which brought to a halt a five-game losing skid. Those wins moved them into the 18th position in the rankings with just two games left. If they can climb into the top 16, they could host a first round state tournament game.

The Lobos won in Payson last Tuesday, 59-47, then returned home on Thursday where they easily handled visiting Round Valley 72-44.

On Friday they started quickly against Holbrook and finished with a 63-45 win.

In the Holbrook game Snowflake limited the Roadrunners to just six points in the first eight minutes. They built a 20-point halftime cushion, then basically played even in the second half to get their third straight win.

Snowflake was led by Dallin Chapman with 18 points. Trey Schneider added 14; Garrett Wood, 12; Mason Willis, 9; Zach Solomon, 6; and Dylan Kay, 4.

Heading into the final week the Lobos were 11-15 overall and 6-10 in power point contests.
