Navajo County Precinct I Justice of the Peace Evelyn Marez of Holbrook has been appointed to the Judicial College of Arizona. The Judicial College is dedicated to the education, innovation and advancement of justice throughout the state and nation. Only three new members were chosen this year. “It is a tremendous honor to be appointed to the Judicial College,” Judge Marez said. “This organization plays such a crucial role in the education and advancement of the judicial process. I am humbled and grateful to be a part of it.” Judge Marez was appointed by Chief Justice Scott Bales, and will serve through Dec. 31, 2019. She was also reappointed as the presiding justice of the peace for Navajo County earlier this year.
