The Lady Wildcats struggled at the Round Valley Tournament last weekend, dropping four games and forfeiting their fifth.
They began the tournament on Thursday with a 40-19 loss to Arizona Lutheran. Their second game on Thursday was a 59-3 setback against a very tough Thatcher team. On Friday, Blue Ridge defeated them 62-23. What turned out to be their final game of the tournament was a 43-8 loss to rival Mogollon. The Wildcats were scheduled to play again on Saturday morning, but decided to forfeit that contest to rest up for conference play, which begins in earnest this week.
The good news for the Joseph City squad is that it picked up a region win as they defeated the Lady Vikings 35-26 in Williams.
The Wildcats will play three games at home this week. After hosting Seligman on Tuesday, they face Ash Fork on Friday, Dec. 16, and will host Grand Canyon on Saturday, Dec. 17. On Tuesday, Dec. 20, they play at Cibecue, their final game before taking time off for the Christmas break.
