UPDATE 7:17 p.m.: The Show Low Police have reported that Officer Darrin Reed has died at Summit Healthcare Regional Medical Center as a results of the injuries sustained during the shooting incident. Police are still seeking suspect Daniel Erickson in connection with the incident.
UPDATE 5:38 p.m.: The suspect vehicle has been located, but Daniel Erickson remains at large. Erickson has been reported to be using the alias of Scott Richardson. Police are now searching for a 2006 brown or gray Jeep Grand Cherokee with a ladder on the top with the Arizona license plate BGT BGT9579.
Law enforcement officials are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a Show Low police officer at 1:32 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Arby’s in Show Low. The officer is in critical condition, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The suspect has been identified as Daniel Erickson, 36, of Huachuca City. He is 5’11” and 185 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was reported to be wearing a long black leather trench coat and is in the company of a female with a bandage over her eye.
Ericksen fled the scene and is reportedly driving a black or gray primer colored S10 Blazer.
If he is located, the public is urged not to make contact with him, but to call 911 immediately. Erickson is believed to be armed and dangerous.
