Patricia Joan Shugart, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at the Rohoboth McKinley Christian Hospital in Gallup, N.M. A viewing will be held from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, at Owens Livingston Mortuary, located at 409 First Ave. in Holbrook. The graveside service will follow at 10 a.m. at the Holbrook Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Moses, N.M., to Ora Tooley and Nell Nall Tooley.
Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her family, especially her grandchildren, unconditionally. She was hard working and demanded a high moral value of those around her. She was active in Elks Lodge No. 2450 in Holbrook.
Survivors include her three children, Barry (Patricia) Shugart, Patsy (Jon) Williams and Georgia (Jim) Farris; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Wayne (Doe) Tooley and Jere (Barbara) Messersmith.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dawn.
