Thomas James Tanner, 57, our beloved father and husband, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016, due to heart related conditions. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the LDS Stake Center in Holbrook. He was born Aug. 30, 1958, in Holbrook. Tom met and married the love of his life, Olivia Tanner, June 13, 2008. His children are Sarah Brittany Tanner, Thomas Jason Tanner, Bryce James Tanner, Faith LaDawn Frost, Fernanda Nunez and Marisol Nunez. After high school he took over the family business and had a passion for the shop like no other. He used the business to take care of his family, his father and his mother. He had a passion for fast cars and restoring vehicles. Tom took great pride in his work and his family. He was a proud resident of Holbrook and loved being able to raise his family here. If you knew Tom, you knew how big his heart was. The most important thing to him was his family. Everything he did was to prepare them for life. He loved spending time with them all. Tom did other things not widely known, like taking care of numerous people and opening up his home to many in need. He and Olivia made frequent visits to elderly friends and brought meals to them. Over the years he helped many people traveling across the country with their vehicles when they could not afford it. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joan Tanner. Survivors include his wife; his kids and grandkids; his sisters, Marsha and Lynn; his brothers, Richard, Brandon and Brett; and many nieces and nephews. Tom was loved by many, and was a great man. He will be missed greatly.
