The Holbrook Police Department arrested Arlyn L. Bryant, 30, of Springerville April 18 in connection with an April 13 incident at Holbrook Junior High School. Bryant allegedly entered the school office and asked to check out two students using first names only in order to provide free haircuts. When the staff was suspicious of his request because there were no students by those names enrolled, he was questioned further, then abruptly left the building and the area. The subject never gained access to students due to the school’s security measures.
Bryant was located in Scottsdale and turned himself in after being contacted by Holbrook police detectives. He has been booked into the Navajo County Jail on charges of trespassing, interfering with an educational institution and attempted kidnapping.
