Matthew Brabant Matthew Brabant, 28, of Holbrook died suddenly on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Palm Eastern Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nev., where a two-hour viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the Palm Cemetery. He was born July 17, 1987, in Norfolk, Va. Standing tall at 6’7”, Matthew was a gentle giant welcomed anywhere he went. From his beautiful eyes to his heart-warming smile, his charm and style will surely be missed. He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice that he graciously shared with those he loved. Matthew also had a passion for food and developed quite the culinary talent for cooking and sharing meals with friends and strangers alike. However, Matthew’s biggest love was for his family, fiancé and especially his children. Survivors include his loving family, his fiancé, Mona Rouhani of Las Vegas and their children, Liliana (2) and Nolan (7 months); his mother, Denise (Deke) Roberts of Oklahoma; his father, Bill (Vicky) Brabant of Las Vegas; two step-brothers, Jacob Harper of Las Vegas and Dan Dimarino, who is currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps; a step-sister, Kayla Harper of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Cathy and Tony Carro of Ogdensburg, N.Y., grandfather Robert (and the late Heletha) Brabant of Heuvelton, N.Y., and Gary and Sandra Roberts of Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Dillan in 2010; and his step-father, Tom Harper in 2008. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a GoFundMe account that has been set up for Matthew’s children at https://www.gofundme.com/a2ffqp5w. Owens Livingston Mortuary-White Mountain Chapel in Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
