Holbrook Unified School District Governing Board Vice President Linda Yazzie was elected as Navajo County director for the Arizona School Boards Association. County directors serve two-year terms on the ASBA Board of Directors. The board is responsible for oversight of the association, including financial management, and meets at least four times a year. Last fall, ASBA leadership hosted 14 county meetings throughout the state. These meetings provided an opportunity for ASBA and its elected county directors to share issues and solutions to local challenges with members of other boards in their areas.
