By Linda Kor The 58th annual Hashknife Pony Express Ride from Holbrook to Scottsdale is less than two weeks away and to celebrate this tradition, the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce is hosting a parade at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26. The parade route will begin at Eighth Avenue and West Hopi Drive, continue east on Hopi Drive to the stoplight, then proceed north on Navajo Blvd. and turn east on Arizona Street, where the entries will line up. Following the parade will be the swearing in of the posse at the historic Navajo County courthouse by the Holbrook Postmaster. Free posole and hot chocolate will be served to those attending. Entries are welcome, and residents, businesses, organizations and schools are encouraged to participate. For more information, contact the chamber of commerce at 524-6558.
