Turkey Trot Set November 26

The Snowflake High School cross country team will be hosting a Turkey Trot at 8 o’clock on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 26, at 8 a.m. at the Snowflake Golf Course. There will be two races running simultaneously, a one-mile and a 5K race/walk. The entry fee is $20, or $10 without a T-shirt.

All of the proceeds will benefit the SHS cross country program. This club is affiliated with, but not financially supported by, the SHS Athletic Department, and these proceeds will be used to provide race entry fees, equipment and other such items. Businesses may also sponsor these young men.

The Snowflake team competed at the Arizona State Division III Cross Country meet Nov. 7 and came away as the top team in the White Mountain area, placing seventh overall. The Lobos’ top runner, Jordan Gardner, placed second in the meet with a time of 16:27.
