Wyatt Bain won the 2015 Hidden Cove club championship with a two-day score of 147, seven over par. Reggie Tsosie was a close second at 149, and 71- year-old Cory Jansen was third at 150. Brandon Queen shot a two under par 68 on Sunday, but had a highly disappointing 86 on Saturday. The golfers loved the tough course conditions with deep rough and many hole placements on steep slopes. The golf course maintenance crew did an outstanding job preparing the Holbrook course for the tournament, which was held Sept. 26 and 27. Tomas Hernandez was re-elected president of the men’s golf association. Cisco Lerma is vice president and Steve Rutherford is handicap chairman. The next golf event is two-day match play at 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 17 and 18.
