Holbrook High School tied for third at the recent Tuba City Chess Tournament.
“We had stellar performances from senior Raymus Franklin, who went undefeated and won a best board medal for being the most successful player in his position,” said Coach Daniel Mitchell.
“Senior Nolan Joe only lost one out of five matches and was in close contention for the best board medal.
“We have already surpassed last year’s record.”
