The Winslow Bulldog football team is having an interesting summer under first year head coach Brandon Guzman.
During the month of June he took the team to Arizona State University for Seven on Seven and Big Man camps. The team went to Snowflake for both Seven on Seven and Big Man challenge camps, and took second in both. They then went to Camp Verde for a Seven on Seven Camp.
They have been in a camp in Winslow since July 12 and after 12 straight days that camp is scheduled to end today (July 24). Desert Ridge junior varsity and freshman players, Estrella Foothills, Boulder Creek Freshman and Shadow Ridge were all in Winslow, but have left.
The Dobson High School varsity, junior varsity and freshman players, the Tolleson High School varsity and Paradise Honors have also been in camp in Winslow, and reporting on Monday were varsity teams from Winslow, Desert Ridge and Maricopa.
The camps have given all players the opportunity to improve their skills and to test themselves against players from other schools.
