Legendary actor William Shatner of Star Trek fame will be making an appearance in Holbrook on Sunday, June 28, as he stops for lunch at Joe & Aggies Café to visit with the owners and the public.
Shatner will be arriving at approximately 1 p.m. on a first-of-its-kind Rivet motorcycle designed by Shatner and American Wrench as part of an eight-day journey from Chicago to Los Angeles to bring awareness to The American Legion organization.
A contest organized by Shatner just for Holbrook will be held to determine the best drawing of the Rivet motorcycle as it would look if it were in the movie Cars. All entries must be brought to Joe & Aggies Café, located at 120 W. Hopi Drive, no later than 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, to be considered for the contest.
Shatner will select the winner during his visit and that person will receive a T-shirt gift package and appear on his new television show Rivet: The Ride.
Accompanying Shatner on the ride will be some of the team from American Wrench and members of The American Legion Riders. Shatner will be meeting with Legion members along the route to raise awareness for the work The American Legion does nationwide.
