The Lady Bulldogs finished the regular softball season with an 11-0 victory over the Snowflake Lady Lobos last Wednesday in Winslow. The win left the Lady Bulldogs with a 23-6 record on the season and a likely good seeding for the state tournament.
Cheyanne Benally worked the full five innings on the hill, allowing no runs on just two hits. She struck out three batters and did not allow a walk. The game was shortened to five innings under the 10-run mercy rule.
Hailee Branson and Erica Jodie were both 2 for 3 at the plate for Winslow. Jodie had a double and two RBIs, while Branson had three RBIs. Andrea Bollin was 1 for 1. Gabrielle Gonzales, Richelyn Villanueva, Taylor Holeva, Elizabeth Lozano and Monique Foy were all 1 for 3, with Gonzales, Villanueva and Lozano pasting doubles.
