Looking for work? On Wednesday, April 29, the Holbrook Public Library’s annual Job Academy will once again be held at the library. This event features Keynote Speaker Prescott Winslow, whose extensive knowledge of job searching can assist prospective employees to develop a successful job campaign. Representatives of several agencies which assist job seekers will be present this year as well. Local employers will discuss the reasons they select some candidates and reject others. Participants will be able to question them directly about applications, resumes and interviewing for jobs. You may pre-register for the event at the Job Help desk at the library, by phone at 524-3732 or by email at holbrookhub@gmail.com. You may also register at the door on April 29, but seating is limited, so preregistration is recommended. On-site registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the event will conclude at 1:30 p.m. Snacks and lunch will be provided free of charge for participants.
