Darrien Brown, a pitcher/infielder on the Winslow baseball team, has been doing his part for the Bulldogs this season, but we’ve credited another player. During the Falcon Baseball Invitational in late February, Brown went 2 for 2 in a win over Camp Verde and 2 for 4 in a tie with Bourgade. Against Page on March 7, he went 2 for 3 with a triple in the win. Three days later, he was 2 for 3 with a double in the Bulldogs’ shut out of Holbrook. Brown was 1 for 3 with a triple in Winslow’s March 14 loss to Flagstaff. He was 1 for 4 in a March 24 loss to Blue Ridge and 1 for 3 in a loss to Coconino three days later. All in all, the freshman has done well. We apologize for not crediting him, and for any problems this has caused.
