The Lobos placed third as a team in the Division IV Sectional Wrestling Meet held last Saturday, and had five wrestlers qualify for the state meet by finishing in the top four of their respective weight classes.
Taking first place for Snowflake were Cole Mortensen in the 138-lb. division and Wacey Wood in the 145-lb. class as each went 3-0 at the sectional meet.
Wrestling at 220 lbs., Leon LeGrange took second place with a 1-1 record.
JR Fox also advanced to the state meet with a third place finish in the 285-lb. weight class, posting a 3-1 record, as did Thomas Frost, who also had 3-1 record in the 132 pound division good for third.
Those who qualified will begin the state meet competition on Thursday, Feb. 12, in Prescott Valley.
