Patrick George Carpenter, 88, of Peoria, a former Holbrook resident, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014. A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. He was born on April 2, 1926, in Gallup, N.M. Patrick was a World War II veteran, serving from 1944 to 1946. His wife Julia predeceased him on March 10, 2014. Survivors include his children, Patrice Carpenter, Theodore Carpenter (Susan), Katrina Carpenter, Colleen Fisher (Bill) and Patrick Carpenter II (Gina); nine grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and was a friend to all who were around him. His “comments” will forever be remembered in our hearts. Heritage Funeral Chapel of Peoria was in charge of the arrangements.
