Athletes from the Sun Valley Indian School took part in a cross country meet hosted at Woodland Lake Park near Blue Ridge on Sept 4. The runners went up against runners from Mountain Christian School, Vernon Public School, St. Anthony’s, Sequoia, Payson Christian School and Tonto Basin Public School.
The school had six athletes compete with Levander Dewey taking fourth place overall. Aysa Bennally took second place among the girls, finishing 17th overall. The school competes every Thursday, with a meet at Fool’s Hollow in Show Low held on Sept. 11.
