By Greg Perkins Among the 23 teams competing at the Blue Ridge Invitational last Friday, the Roadrunners placed 11th in both the boys’ and girls’ team competitions. Blue Ridge and Snowflake took the top two spots in both divisions. For Holbrook in the boys’ 100 meter dash, Wazuri Waits was 24th; Christian Pierce, 40th; Isaac Madrid, 43rd; and Juwan Cummings, 50th. In the 200 meter dash, Johnathan Dawson was 21st; Wazuri Waits, 27th; Isaac Madrid, 42nd; and Juwan Cummings, 49th. In the 400 meter run, Johnathan Dawson placed fourth; Isaac Madrid, 24th; Ryan Bia, 32nd; and Juwan Cummings, 40th. In the 800 meter run, Tristan Zahne placed fourth; and Tristan Notah, 30th. In the 1600 meter run, Marcos Clark placed 30th; Kyle Chee, 37th; and Jarvis Nez, 41st. In the 3200 meter run, Mark Clark was 12th; Marcos Clark, 13th; Jarvis Nez, 35th; and Derrick Joe, 43rd. In the 110 meter hurdles, Marcel Young placed eighth; and Kyle Baldwin, 26th. In the 300 meter hurdles, Marcel Young placed fifth; and Kyle Baldwin, 25th. Marcel Young, Wazuri Waits, Tristan Zahne and Johnathan Dawson placed eighth in the 4×400 meter relay. In the 4×800 meter relay, Ryan Bia, Kyle Chee, Marcos Clark and Tristan Zahne placed eighth. In the shot put, Christian Pierce placed 18th; Trevor Yazzie, 36th; Carmichael Byjoe, 42nd; and Tyler LiibilNaghahi, 52nd. In the discus, Wade Biakeddy was 24th; Trevor Yazzie, 30th; James Sumpter, 32nd; and Tyler LiibilNaghahi, 50th. In the long jump, Wazuri Waits placed 20th; Juwan Cummings, 36th; Isaac Madrid, 45th; and Jayden Johns, 52nd. In the girls’ 100 meter dash, Darian Hollins placed 10th; Demi Phaturos, 33rd; and Michaela Lee, 45th. In the 200 meter dash, Darian Hollins was 14th; and Michaela Lee, 44th. In the 400 meter run, Miya Tom placed ninth. In the 800 meter run, Miya Tom was eighth; Morgan Zahne, 17th; and Latanya Lano, 29th. In the 1600 meter run, Miya Tom placed 13th; and Latanya Lano, 32nd. In the 3200 meter run, Johanna Tsosie was 29th. In the 100 meter hurdles, Shelby Kinlichee placed 19th. In the 300 meter hurdles, Shelby Kinlichee placed 32nd. Shandie Demuth, Morgan Zahne, Latanya Lano and Miya Tom combined to place seventh in the 4×800 meter relay. In the shot put, Terrilyn Lester placed 14th; Shandie Demuth, 27th; and Johanna Tsosie, 44th. In the discus, Shandie Demuth placed sixth; and Terrilyn Lester, seventh. In the high jump, Darian Hollins placed 15th. In the long jump, Darian Hollins was second; Demi Phaturos, 20th; and Michaela Lee, 38th. In the triple jump, Demi Phaturos placed 13th.
