By Greg Perkins Competing with 19 other teams, the Holbrook boys’ team placed 10th and the girls’ team was 18th at the first track meet of the season, the Northland Prep Academy Skydome Classic held last Tuesday in Flagstaff. Snowflake won the boys’ division of the meet and Blue Ridge took first in the girls’ competition. For Holbrook, Dontae Hollins placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 18-03, eighth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.40 and eighth in the 200 meter dash in 23.68. Wazuri Waits placed eighth in the long jump with 17-11, 17th in the 60 meter dash in 7.68 and 27th in the 200 meter dash in 25.36. Marcos Clark placed third in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:45. Mark Clark was sixth in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:20. Ryan Bia placed 21st in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:18. Kyle Baldwin was 31st in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 12.63. Johnathan Dawson placed sixth in the 400 meter run with a time of 55.36 and 28th in the 200 meter run in 11.20. Jayden Johns was 58th in the long jump with a distance of 11-05. Ryan Keyonnie placed 28th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:20. Jose Luna was 48th in the 400 meter run in 67.39. Isaac Madrid placed 48th in the 400 meter run with a time of 61.66. Jarvis Nez finished 21st in the 3200 meter run with a time of 12:21. Christian Pierce was 38th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.08. Marcel Young placed 10th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.59. Tristan Zahne finished 35th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:22. The team of Wazuri Waits, Dontae Hollins, Marcel Young and Johnathan Dawson placed ninth in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 3:44. For the Holbrook ladies, Darian Hollins placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 14-10, sixth in the high jump, clearing 4-06, eighth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.65 and 14th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 29.04. Shay Autobee placed 63rd in the 200 meter run with a time of 37.85. Shandie Demuth placed 17th in the shot put with a toss of 26-05. Michaela Lee finished 47th in the 60 meter dash in 9.97 and 53rd in the 200 meter run in 33.62. Terrilyn Lester placed 15th in the shot put with a toss of 26-07. Demi Phaturos finished 21st in the long jump with a distance of 12-03 and 38th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 9.58. Jayne Sandoval placed 45th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 7:54. April Smith was 47th in the 1600 meter run with a time of 8:24. Cydney Walters finished 20th in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 12.53 and 44th in the 400 meter dash in 84.67. Morgan Zahne finished 28th in the 3200 meter run with a time of 17:00.
