These men did not utilize any public resources or on-duty time, but rather rallied donations, including cash, supplies, a U-Haul from Metal Mayhem and discounted four-man rafts from Big 5 with the help of STPD, and headed out to help. They left the afternoon of Aug. 31 and returned early the morning of Sept. 4 after driving close to 40 hours round trip to make an extraordinary contribution on behalf of the communities of Snowflake and Taylor and the STPD.
