Students at Taylor Intermediate School donated $500 they raised to the Town of Taylor to plant trees and the Parent-Teacher-Student Organization added another $500, enabling the town to purchase 20 ball willows trees at a discount from Probuild and Ace Hardware. The students had the opportunity to plant the trees on May 25 at Freeman Park under the direction of Assistant Town Engineer Rick Evans (left), who is overseeing a group of TIS sixth graders.
