The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of June 14-20. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 7 a.m. on Monday, June 15, Mariah Barnell, 27, Winslow, was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 8800 block of State Route 99 in the Winslow area for a report of a disorderly subject. Barnell was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, Sherilyn Nutumya, 43, of Winslow, was arrested for aggravated DUI with a blood alcohol content of .10% or more with a passenger under 15, after deputies were dispatched to the 4600 block of Coopertown Road in Winslow for a disorderly subject. Nutumya was booked into the county jail.
At 11:26 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, Zachary Shaw, 26, of Winslow, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession and/or use of a narcotic drug following a traffic stop on 3rd Street and Kinsley Avenue in Winslow. Shaw was booked into the county jail.
At. 2:06 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, Mukesh (no last name), 24, of Sacramento, Calif., was arrested for disorderly conduct after deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of State Route 77 in Holbrook for a report of a disorderly subject. Mukesh was booked into the county jail.
At 8:41 a.m. on Thursday, Drake Neswood, 21, of Winslow, was arrested for resisting arrest and failure to comply with a court order after deputies were dispatched to the 4600 block of Coopertown Road in Winslow for a report of trespassing. Neswood was booked into the county jail.
At 12:02 p.m. on Thursday, Verna Begay, 54, Holbrook, was arrested for driving on a suspended/revoked/canceled license following a traffic stop on North Park Drive near Five Mountain in Winslow. Begay was booked into the county jail.
At 7:01 a.m. on Friday, June 19, Paul Bustamante, 32, of Bakersfield, Calif., was arrested for criminal speeding following a traffic stop on Obed Road and McLaws Road in the Holbrook area. Bustamante was booked into the county jail.
At 5:48 p.m. on Friday, Lamarr Geneeha, 50, of Pinon, was arrested for two counts of failure to comply with a court order after deputies were dispatched to the 8100 block of Randall Avenue in Joseph City for a report of a disorderly subject. Geneeha was booked into the county jail.
