The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Area 3 during the period of May 17-23. Area 3 includes Heber, Overgaard, Aripine, Chevelon Retreat, Chevelon Acres, Antelope Valley, Clay Springs and Pinedale. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, Phillip Oliphant, 58, of Overgaard, was arrested for furnishing obscene materials to minors, sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of a weapon by a prohibited possessor, disorderly conduct involving a weapon and aggravated assault after deputies were dispatched to the 2800 block of Timber Trail Loop in Overgaard for a report of a sex offense. Oliphant was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 3 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, Bryan Saye, 37, of Overgaard, was arrested for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and two counts of aggravated assault after deputies were dispatched to the 2800 block of Markham Road in Overgaard for a report of a disorderly subject. Saye was booked into the county jail.
