The Lady Lobos finished as the runner-up at the Joseph City Invitational tournament held last weekend. The Ladies compiled 213 team points, finishing behind first place winner Arizona Lutheran’s 242.5 points.
Sara Shumway (120) was the only wrestler to claim an individual title going 8-0 in her weight class. Brooklinn Baldwin (138) placed second with a 7-1 record. Emilyta Tso (152) was also second with a 6-1 record. Julia Jones (132) was the runner-up in her class with a 6-1 mark. Madi De La Cruz (126) went 5-2 to finish second in her division.
Mariead Greenwood (126) finished third, Laini Hancock (145) was fourth, Ada Farnsworth (152) finished fifth, as did Katalyn Haws (138) and Sara Blackman (120).
Snowflake’s boys wrestling team did not compete this week. Both Lobo teams will be in action this coming weekend at the large and highly competitive Doc Wright tournament hosted by Winslow.
