The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of Nov. 9-15. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 10:43 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, Gipson Ahmad, 43, of Holbrook, was arrested for failure to comply with a court order following a traffic stop on the 1300 block of Navajo Blvd. in Holbrook. Ahmad was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 8:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, Marco Dixson Sr., 42, of Joseph City was cited and released for driving on a suspended/revoked/canceled license following a traffic stop on Main Street and McLaws Avenue in Joseph City.
At 10:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Brandon Martinez, 34, of Holbrook, was arrested for violation of parole following a traffic stop on the 1300 block of Navajo Blvd. in Holbrook. Martinez was booked into the county jail.
At 10:58 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, Ryan Jernigan, 19, of Lakeside, was arrested for aggravated assault on a correctional officer after deputies were dispatched to the Navajo County Jail for a report of an assault by an inmate.
