Snowflake’s baseball team has advanced to the 3A state playoffs as the sixth overall seed. They received an opening round bye and will now host 11th-seeded Blue Ridge on Tuesday afternoon.
The Yellowjackets were in the play-in round, where they defeated No. 22 Chinle 4-2.
If the Lobos can advance past Blue Ridge, they would face either No. 3 Northwest Christian or No. 14 Pusch Ridge on Saturday at 2 p.m. If it is Northwest Christian, the Lobos will travel to the Valley. If it is Pusch Ridge, Snowflake would host that game. A win in that round would advance the Lobos to the semifinals played at Tempe Diablo Stadium on Tuesday, the 13th.
