Kerry Leslie Ballard, 76, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Feb. 20, 2025. Kerry was born Aug. 27, 1948, in Snowflake, to Charles Leslie and Melva Rogers Ballard.
Kerry attended Brigham Young University where he met his wife, Judith Wade Ballard. Kerry and Judy got married in August 1972 and recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.
He enjoyed fulfilling civic duties, including serving on the Snowflake Town Council for 30 years. He was known for his unwavering dedication to the community.
Kerry is survived by his wife, Judith Wade Ballard; sons, Melvin Kerry Ballard (Maura), Jonathan Charles Ballard (Jenilyn) and David Leslie Ballard (Sandy); daughters, Janelle Jessop (John) and Jennifer Cardita (Greg); 18 grandchildren; and 4.5 great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 28, at Owens Livingston Mortuary, located at 84 W. 19th S. St., in Snowflake. Funeral services begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the LDS Centennial Stake Center, located at 9th S. 2nd W. St. in Snowflake.
