The following incidents were among the 266 handled by the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department (STPD) during the period of Jan. 22-28. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by STPD officers are accused of committing a civil violation or of criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt.
At 12:06 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, Dathan Perkins, 23, of Snowflake, was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop on Snowflake Blvd. and 1st Street East in Snowflake. Perkins was booked into the Navajo County Jail.
At 1:14 p.m. on Thursday, Janet Ruiz, 25, of Concho, was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license, and civilly cited for suspended license plate, no insurance and no registration, following a traffic stop on North Main Street and Papermill Road in Taylor. Ruiz was booked into the county jail.
At 1:01 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, an employee of Circle K, located at 110 S. Main St. in Snowflake, reported the theft to beer by two males in a black truck.
At 5:38 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, Ryley Warner, 19, of Snowflake, was cited and released for underage drinking after officers responded to a report of a suspicious man at Heritage Manor Apartments, located at 110 N. Main St. in Snowflake.
At 10:03 p.m. on Sunday, Ashli Romero, 34, of Snowflake, was arrested for trespassing and an open container violation, and Justin Carter, 36, of Snowflake, was arrested for an open container violation, following a traffic stop on Snowflake Blvd. and 1st Street East in Snowflake. Both Romero and Carter were booked into the county jail.
At 11:11 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, Joaquin Mora, 29, of Taylor, was cited and released for driving on a suspended driver’s license and displaying a plate suspended for mandatory insurance, following a traffic stop on East Snowflake Blvd. and Adair Lane in Snowflake.
At 9:29 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, Jewel Altaha, 40, of Whiteriver, was arrested on a warrant, following a traffic stop on Main Street in Snowflake. Altaha was booked into the county jail.
At 11:54 p.m. on Tuesday, Chandon Jackson, 34, of Snowflake, was arrested for assault, after an officer responded to Fairway Manor Apartments, located at 2225 Lyon Crest Road in Snowflake. Jackson was booked into the county jail.
