The Winslow Bulldogs traveled to Chandler to compete in the Epic Tournament, with the Bulldogs putting in a good effort but unable to get a victory in the three games they played.

On Jan. 3, the Bulldogs faced the San Carlos Braves, a tall and aggressive team that would lead the Bulldogs throughout, ending with a final score of San Carlos 69, Winslow 52. Bulldogs in double figures included Isaac David with 23 points and Joseph Lee 10 points.

On Jan.4, the Bulldogs would have played in the morning but the team they were scheduled to play dropped out. That evening they faced the undefeated Florence Gophers, with the Bulldogs keeping the game close for two and half quarters. But the very fast and tall Gophers would stay undefeated and later go on to win the tournament in a game against the Snowflake Lobos. The final score was Florence 77, Winslow 57. Bulldog David would have 22 points.

In their final game of the tournament, the Bulldogs faced the Coyotes of Combs from San Tan Valley. The Bulldogs handled the height difference better and lead the score up until the final moments of the game, but it would be the Coyotes that would come away with the victory. The final score was Coyotes 58, Bulldogs 54. Bulldogs in double figures included David with 28 points and Jace Smith with 10 points.
