It’s once again time for the Navajo County Fair and this is an event you do not want to miss. The fair is a guaranteed good time that makes for some great memories. I’ve attended the fair for many years with my friends and family and I wouldn’t trade a moment. I’ve also been privileged to volunteer a time or two, not only is it an opportunity to give back to the community and you get to see many familiar faces that maybe you haven’t seen in awhile. Coming to the fair is a lot like a homecoming. I’m willing to bet that you know someone who entered something into the Open Class exhibit, maybe one of the drivers at the Demolition Derby, a youngster in the Little Buckaroo Rodeo or a bigger cowboy at the night rodeo. Maybe you spot one of the 4-H kids who’s a neighbor or a friend looking a little queasy on the spinning strawberries at the carnival. With so few opportunities to gather as friends and neighbors, don’t miss out on this one. Enjoy the fair and take in all the hard work that goes into this four-day event. Come out and enjoy an event celebrating its 93rd year, beginning next Wednesday, Sept. 11, and going through Saturday, Sept. 14.
