Simply put, the County Assessor’s responsibility is to fairly and accurately assess the real estate and personal property that is located within the county he serves. Strict accuracy in this area results in a properly functioning system, such as ample funding for schools, emergency services, and more.

Did you realize that an inaccurate assessment of taxable structures in a vicinity can result in a lack of tax allotment for necessary services? This could result in your emergency response team missing out on valuable funding that could give them the modern and sufficient equipment needed to potentially save lives.

Michael L. Montandon was broker and co-owner of Providence Commercial, LLC, and Montandon Land & Investments, LLC.
