The Lady Roadrunners soccer team is still looking for that first regular season win. Last week they fell to visiting Northland Prep on Monday evening by a final of 9-0.
The boys’ Roadrunner soccer team was hosting Snowflake on Wednesday last week in a match that had to be suspended due to inclement weather with the score tied at 1-1 in the first half. By rule, since the match had not reached the second half, the two teams would have had to start the match all over when they met in Holbrook on Monday afternoon.
That was Holbrook’s only match last week. This week, following the makeup game on Monday, Holbrook will travel to St. Michael on Tuesday afternoon. On Thursday they will host Northland Prep. Next Tuesday they travel to Camp Verde.
Holbrook entered this week with a 1-2 regular season record.
This past weekend Holbrook competed in the Chino Cup Tournament hosted by Chino Valley. Friday’s two matches were losses to Chino Valley 0-12 and to Snowflake 0-11. They played better on Saturday despite two more losses. The matches were closer with a 0-3 loss to Page and a 0-7 loss to Blue Ridge.
This week Holbrook has just one match. They will play at St. Johns on Tuesday. Next Tuesday they will host Camp Verde.
