Award winning actress, producer and director, and Winslow native Erika Alexander will be in Winslow at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday, Aug. 27, for the unveiling of the Winslow Hall of Fame at the Winslow Chamber of Commerce, located at 523 Second St. Alexander will also be on hand for the 11:30 a.m. dedication of Erika Alexander Way at the corner of 600 E. Aspinwall and 500 N. Donnelly. A community block party will follow from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Route 66 Plaza with food, entertainment and a meet and greet with Alexander. Alexander is best known for her role as Maxine Shaw on the series Living Single, Alexander uses her voice, platform and influence to advocate for those who have been overlooked and marginalized.
