The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of Feb. 5-11. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 7:58 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, Leroy Simon, 50, of Winslow, was arrested on a warrant after deputies made contact with Simon in the Winslow area. Simon was booked into the Navajo County Jail. At 11:25 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, a 16-year-old Holbrook boy was cited and released for underage drinking after deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of Valdez Road in Holbrook for reports of underage drinking. At 2:55 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, Noah Dobell, 38, of Holbrook was arrested on four warrants after deputies made contact with Dobell in the Holbrook area.
