Barbara Clayton, 88, passed peacefully into the eternal love of God on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, in Snowflake. She was born May 26, 1934, to the late Emma and Leo Earl Hunsaker. Barbara was married to the love of her life, George Decker, for time and all eternity. After the death of her husband, Barbara remarried a here-on-earth companion, Jim Clayton. After he passed away Barbara remained widowed for the rest of her life. Throughout her life, Barbara was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a faithful daughter of God. Barbara devoted her life to sharing the love she received from Christ with all she knew. She served in many church callings and dedicated hundreds of hours to doing genealogy. She loved learning the history of her family. Barbara, along with her mother Emma Hunsaker, moved to Utah where they lived for a short period. During that time, they worked at the LDS cannery helping to provide food to those in need. Barbara was also an artist. She did many murals in Holbrook when she was younger. Barbara enjoyed traveling throughout her life. As she aged, she settled in Snowflake. She loved painting, belly dancing, spending time with her family, quilting and attending all family reunions. She was the first child born in her family and the last one living. She was proud of it. She is survived by children, Danny Decker, Shannon Owens and Chris Decker; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
