Lorraine Michelle Reidhead Taylor left this world for her Heavenly Home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022. She was born in Albuquerque, N.M., on Feb. 7, 1966. She is the fourth child and second daughter of Leland and Loris (DeWitt) Reidhead. Her family moved often following work. However, they settled in Show Low long enough for Lorraine to attend 1st-12th grade there. Lorraine fell in love with Terry Taylor and a few months after his mission they were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple on Feb. 16, 1985. They lived in Snowflake, Show Low, Tempe and back to Snowflake again before moving to Joseph City in December of 1991. They had four children before moving to Joseph City and had two more while there. They now have four sons and two daughters, one son-in-law, three daughters-in-law, and 13 grandchildren who lovingly refer to her as “Meema.” Lorraine is preceded in death by her father, Leland Reidhead; her brother, Leland Reidhead; her granddaughter, Anabell Petersen; and many extended family members. She is survived by her husband, Terry; her son, Christopher (Destiny) Scott and their children, Terra, Jaelyn, Addicyn and Colt; her daughter, Micayle “Myke” (Casey) Petersen and their children, Taylor and Alex; her son, A.J. (Lindsey) and their children, Terron, Emmett, Jannika, Eliana, Jacob and they have a child on the way; her son, Zachary (Emily) and their daughter, Lily; her daughter, Dallas Taylor; and her son, Riley Taylor. Lorraine loved serving others and always put them before herself. Lorraine loved the Lord Jesus Christ and living his Gospel. She served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including primary president, Young Women’s president, and was serving as Relief Society president when she became sick. She loved all those she served. But her favorite callings were wife, mother and Meema. She was loved and will be missed by many. There will be a viewing from 5 to 8 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 30, at the Owens Livingston Mortuary in Holbrook. There will be a second viewing from 9 to 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 31, followed by the funeral, to begin at 11 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Joseph City. Lorraine loved yellow. The family is asking everyone to wear something yellow to the funeral. There will also be a memory box at the funeral. Please bring a written memory or write one there prior to the start of the funeral, so that we can compile the memories into something that can be passed on to her grandchildren. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
