The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity in Areas 1 and 2 during the period of Dec. 4-10. Areas 1 and 2 include Joseph City, Woodruff, Sun Valley, Goodwater, Adamana, unincorporated areas of Winslow and Holbrook, and parts of the Navajo and Hopi reservations that are located within the boundaries of Navajo County. Persons who were cited, charged or arrested by deputies are accused of committing criminal activity, but such accusations should raise no inference of guilt. At 4:48 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, Bernita Roanhorse, 53, of Indian Wells was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop on State Route 87 at milepost 359 near the Winslow area. Roanhorse was booked into the Navajo County Jail. At 2:36 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, Cody Yellowhair, 29, of Sun Valley was arrested for disorderly conduct and failure to comply with a court order after deputies responded to the 7600 block of Pinto in Sun Valley for a disorderly subject. Yellowhair was booked into the county jail.
