Douglas Gordon VanCleave Sr., of Taylor, was born Feb. 6, 1938, to Robert and Varla VanCleave in Show Low. He passed away Nov. 14, 2022, to join his beloved wife, Joy. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather. He leaves behind his children, Peggie Allen, Mindy Neff (Michael), Douglas VanCleave Jr. (Susan), Ryan VanCleave; stepdaughters, Terry, Diane, Janella and Jimmi; siblings, Robert, Clyde, Sharon, Enid and Belva; and many grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was preceded by his parents; brothers, Dwight and Earl; and stepdaughter, Noma. A private celebration of life will take place in the spring. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Snowflake handled the arrangements.
