Frien C. Salazar Frien C. Salazar, born July 6, 1924, in Winslow, entered into rest on Aug. 1, 2022, at his home in Winslow. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Avalos and Lupe Salazar; sisters, Irene Munoz and Emma Contreras; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rita R. Salazar. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow handled the arrangements.
