At approximately 6:57 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, Winslow Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a guard rail at Clear Creek Bridge and had gone into the water and was submerged. The car was extracted from the creek the following morning on July 25, and the body of Sterling Kasper, 28, was found deceased in the vehicle. There were no other people in his vehicle. No other people or vehicles were involved. The collision investigation is being handled by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
