John L. Santibanez

John L. Santibanez John L Santibanez was born June 31, 1949 and passed on June 29, 2022. John lived in Coolidge for the past 10 years. He lived independently at the Hohokam Mobile Home Park with his two dogs, Chica and Poncho. He was a regular on the Cotton Express and made a lot of friends while running his errands in town. John was a retired executive chef and enjoyed grilling, fishing and long drives just to get out and explore. Cooking was his passion and being a chef, he had the pleasure of traveling to a lot of locations. He is survived by his four children, Tina Luther, Chello Montanez, Brandy Gunter and Jesse Santibanez. He had 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. His siblings in California include Becky Gonzalez, Sarah Freed, Denise Huizar, Cecilia Bermudez, Joseph Santibanez and Salvador Sianez. He was preceded in death by his father, John Santibanez; mother, Mary Mendez; twin sister, Mary Lou Derose; brother, Steven Santibanez; and sister, Lena Regasa. He gained his wings at home with the comfort of his family, his dogs and our mother Sadie Santibanez by his side during his last breath. A private celebration of life and honoring of his wises by spreading his ashes in some of his favorite places.
