At 11:22 p.m. on Monday, June 13, Winslow police officers responded to a call at the Cornerstone Apartments, located at 912 W. Second St. Upon arrival, officers found Johnny Lucero, 29, of Winslow had sustained several stab wounds to the left arm. Lucero was transported to Little Colorado Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries. He was reported to be in good condition. Johnny’s brother Dimitri Lucero, 26, also of Winslow, allegedly attempted to suffocate Johnny during a domestic dispute before stabbing him. Dimitri was arrested for attempted second degree homicide and booked into the Navajo County Jail.
