Bannon Loren Lomahquahu It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bannon Loren Lomahquahu, who left us far too soon on Sept. 5, 2021, after recently celebrating his 35th birthday. He was born on July 31, 1985, in Fort Defiance to Julia James and Alfred Lomahquahu Jr. Bannon recently started work as an adjuster at Allstate Insurance. He graduated from the Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute and prior to this he attended high school at the rigorous Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas. In high school, Bannon excelled in academics and wrestling, which he later parlayed into Judo, where he competed nationally. He overcame many obstacles and adversities through his hard work ethic and optimistic attitude that was contagious to all those around him. Bannon loved to inspire, uplift and make others laugh, which he could also do just as easily with his own infectious laugh. He was a great story teller and wordsmith, and he would have relished writing his story, peppering it with the perfect amount of prose, wit and humor. He had many interests including playing darts and pool, long drives, his Navajo and Hopi heritage and mosh pits. Chief among these was enjoying all of these activities in the company of friends and family over some great food and drinks, especially mutton. The women in his life were plenty, and he had a particular fondness for “aunties” as he jokingly and lovingly referred to them; you know who you are. His love has blessed us with three children, Arion (16), Braiden (14) and has princess Addison (10). He will be sorely missed by his mom and dad, brothers Travis, Bo and Talon; sister Rhonda; and 11 nieces and nephews. We all love you and know that you will forever be in our hearts Bannon.
